Special Olympics Florida is a non-profit, self-sustaining corporation that receives no government funding. Special Olympics are funded through individuals, businesses and civic groups. Over 15,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities participate in Special Olympics in Florida each year, all year long. Special Olympics is offered absolutely free of charge to athletes giving as many people as possible the opportunity to know the benefits and joys of Special Olympics.
