What is “Affiliate Marketing”?

Affiliate marketing (as related to Internet marketing) refers to the sharing of revenue between advertisers and publishers. Compensation is based on performance from sales, clicks, registrations or a combination of such.

What does “CPA” stand for?
“CPA” stands for Cost per Acquisition or Cost per Action and is a leading form of media buying that provides advertisers with the true value of a consumer. As a payment model, CPA means advertisers pay publishers per lead. The lead is a set action by the advertiser which publishers’ users must complete. Such actions range from inputting email address or zip codes to purchasing a product. Payouts for set actions vary accordingly.

What are your payment terms?
Clickbooth has two payment schedules. Net 15 – meaning a check is sent 15 days after the end of the month – is typically the schedule of choice. However, if you meet the minimum requirement of $5,000 per week, you may request Net 7 – meaning a check is sent the Monday after the end of the week.

To ensure a timely payout, please print, sign and fax your W9 or W8 (international publishers) accordingly.

What are the payment requirements?
In order to receive payment, you must have your W8/W9 form submitted to Clickbooth’s accounting department. If this has been done, your account must also be in good standing (i.e. NO fraudulent activity) and not placed under review by the compliance department for suspicious activity.

Furthermore, your account must exceed the $50 threshold for the month in order to receive payment. Clickbooth pays out on the 15th of every month for commission earned the month prior – which is significantly faster than other networks.

Advertisers

What offers perform well for you?
Clickbooth works well across every vertical in the industry and runs all the top offers in each as well. In order to maximize performance and conversions, Clickbooth’s expert team will work with each individual campaign to ensure its profitable success.

What types of traffic do you offer?
Clickbooth offers a variety of traffic. All of which is high quality and often exclusive. A general breakdown is as follows:
  1. 60% Double Opt-In Email
  2. 20% Search
  3. 15% Onsite – some of the top 50 Alexa sites are CB exclusives
  4. 5% Path

How do you prevent fraud?
Clickbooth has a industry leading compliance department constantly monitoring traffic to make sure advertisers receive the highest quality. Clickbooth is also extremely selective regarding publisher admittance allowing for backends to convert 40-50% higher than other networks.

How much volume can you do on my offer?
Clickbooth’s top campaigns in every vertical typically do between $1-1.5 million each month. As a whole, the Clickbooth network does over $25 million each month.

How can I optimize my traffic since you have many different types of publishers?
Clickbooth provides the ability to set up sub id tracking. With this, you are able to see how many leads and clicks each publisher is driving to your offer so you can optimize it according to each publisher’s needs.

Publishers

Do you have a Clickbooth referral program?
Publishers can use the Clickbooth Publisher Referral campaign and receive 2% gross referral credit for life plus an additional $10 bonus for every affiliate referred.

Clickbooth’s referral program set up is more beneficial than programs offering a higher gross percentage of referrals.

I would like to place banners on my Web site. How do I get started?
The first step to placing banners on your site is to contact your Clickbooth affiliate manager so that you can discuss your site’s demographics and user profile. Your Clickbooth AM will work with you to find the best offers to fit your site.

Secondly, once an offer is selected, login into your account and select the banner chosen. Simply copy and paste the code that appears below it. You do not need to use the Creative Deployment section unless you require advanced site specific tracking of multiple sites.

Can I use customized banners for some advertising campaigns?
Yes. Clickbooth allows the use of your own customized banners after they receive approval from the Clickbooth advertising department. You can send such requests to your assigned publisher representative.

Can the campaigns in your network be discontinued at anytime?
Yes. Clickbooth advertisers reserve the right to discontinue campaigns with notice if they feel it is not performing to their set standards. When a campaign is taken down, Clickbooth will notify each publisher running the campaign and will typically give a notice of 3-4 business days with a minimum of 24-48 hours notice.

Because Clickbooth works with quality publishers and advertisers, it is a rare occasion for this to occur. If a campaign has a set expiration date of 2015 or 2025, the campaign is essentially set without an expiration date.

Why was I denied from a “select” campaign?
The most common reason a publisher is denied from a select campaign is because the offer does not support his or her traffic type. For example, an on-site placement publisher would be denied from a select campaign that only allows email traffic.

Additionally, a publisher may be denied because the advertisers may want established publishers with proven traffic quality and volume marketing the offers. It is always best to check with your affiliate manager before applying for select campaigns, especially if you are new to the network.
